Ethiopian scholar: Cooperation with China improves African livelihoods

China-Africa cooperation has significantly enhanced the livelihoods of African people, despite the so-called debt trap theory propagated by Western media, as highlighted by Costantinos Berhutesfa Costantinos from Addis Ababa University in a recent interview.

Costantinos emphasized that Africa's abundant resources and youthful workforce further underscore the continent's development potential. The rise of multilateralism and the Global South has opened up new avenues for cooperation. China and Africa are collaborating across various fronts to advance Africa's development and improve the well-being of its people. Notably, these efforts have led to an increase in life expectancy.

Costantinos pointed out that many African nations are eager to replicate China's strategies that have successfully lifted the people out of poverty.
